Many say that stomach ulcers are caused by spicy foods, stress, or too much stomach acid but none of these are the cause of this diagnosis. Stomach ulcers is a sore that develops on the lining of the stomach or small intestines. Stomach ulcer occur when the acid inside of our stomach damages the lining of the digestive path. It can be caused by a spiral shaped bacterium called Helicobacter pylori (H. Pylori) or it can be caused by anti-inflammatory pain medicine (like ibuprofen and naproxen sodium). There isn’t really a diet that need to be followed when you have ulcer or trying to prevent ulcers. What ever food you choose to eat doesn’t make your stomach ulcers worse nor cause you to have stomach ulcers. Food is actually helpful when you have stomach ulcers because some of the foods you eat helps with the pain that is caused by stomach ulcers.
Anti-inflammatory drugs were what surprised me the most for the cause of stomach ulcers. Why? NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) is the most popular medications worldwide. If these drugs were used by almost every person in the world think about how many people have it and don’t know or just disregard it because they are probably thinking it’s something else. I used these drugs and now I’m afraid if I use these too much that the lining in my stomach will be damaged. So, it makes you change the way you do things as in the amount you take or how often do you take this specific amount of medication.
Watching this video, I understood that spicy foods will not give me stomach ulcers but it will give me gastritis. Gastritis is when the lining of the stomach is inflamed and we don’t want that at the end of the day either. It can be the patient’s own lack of knowledge that causes them to get stomach ulcers. Please take the prescribed amount or take the amount the bottle says take of NSAIDs.
