Topic 4 DQ 1
A critical aspect of dissertation research is not determining what to research or how to research it, but justifying the research plan to others. Your dissertation committee will invest a lot of time and effort supporting you all the way to graduation. So, you need to persuade them that you have thought through the entire research plan and can justify each piece as both necessary and optimal for its particular function. What are the specific quantitative based arguments you have to present to your dissertation committee (chair, methodologist, and content expert) to garner their full approval? How will you craft your argumentation to maximize opportunity for approval of your research plan? Explain.

Research data collection and the accompanying analysis are determined by the researcher’s choice of questions and the topic being explored (Hjalmarson & Moskal, 2018). Certain types of questions are better suited to quantitative or statistical analyses while others to qualitative analysis; it is the research question or set of questions that directs the researcher to consider whether the research design calls for quantitative analysis (Hjalmarson & Moskal, 2018). This is essentially what you need to prove in defense of both your research and your choice in quantitative analysis methods. Frame the literature and methodology to show that the data being analyzed best fits a quantitative methodology.
The dissertations argumentation should also focus on what types of questions being asked. Primarily there are two types of quantitative questions: comparative or relationship (Hjalmarson & Moskal, 2018). Specifying the question type, the relation to the dissertation topic, and the rationale as to why the best methodology is quantitative analysis should be what the dissertation committee will be interested in. The specifics of the arguments are going to vary depending on the study and data being used, but careful thought needs to be put into this part of your research. Not only will this help properly prepare the writer for committee review, but it will also help assure the writer that their choices are correct and make sense.

Argumentation as part of scholarly writing is a difficult activity but is necessary to clearly communicate the viewpoint of an idea in a reasoned manner (Garcia-Gorrostieta & López-López, 2018). The specific quantitative-based arguments which must be presented to the dissertation committee to acquire their approval are as follows. According to D’Urso et al., (2021) and Yu & Zenker, (2020) pragma-dialecticians define argumentation as being a spoken and social endeavor using reason to affect the acceptability of a provocative position in its receiver through the collection of justifying or disproving proposals that can be rationally considered and measured. Arguments made must include a claim, reasons that have originated from supporting research for the claim, an acknowledgment of alternate views that contest the research, demonstration of detailed conditions showing the writers or supporting research position to be valid, and potential further research to progress additional understanding of the study ( D’urso et al., 2021).
For my own research as I see it today, my focus will be on understanding why decisions are made and how cultural aspects might affect the decision-making process so I believe this will involve taking an inductive reasoning approach using a theoretical framework. Crafting the argument to maximize approval will require a logical approach with the arguments reasoned and persuasive, developed through quality research from credible sources. In quantitative research, the goal is trustworthiness, D’urso et al., (2021) outline four dimensions as a standard, credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. So, through rigorous technique and alignment of theory and design, then ensuring the quality of the procedures and documents to enable replication and providing detailed evidence in support of my interpretation and analysis. Combined with specifying the degree to which my findings are applicable to future research, policy, and practice, I expect to show adherence to these key dimensions.

As a researcher and a potential graduate my argument for my dissertation is based upon my viewpoint in answering the questions I will be setting, and the evidence will need to support my argument. The argument will need to be structured from my work in supporting my evidence. As a researcher one must have a clearly stated conclusion. The information must be clearly communicated and articulated fact-based evidence to support my conclusion. The information must be logical in formulating my argument. The literature review argument must provide claims in the form of declarative sentences that will be organized in a logical pattern, the argument will be supported using major theories and research to build evidence in the evidence for my argument. A convincing argument provides valid evidence in supporting the claim being given and the evidence in forming an expert testimony, examples and the literature, review will also be used to gain a broad background and understanding for the documentation related to research being argued.
The research in a qualitative platform must apply to the standard to trustworthiness in four dimensions: transferability, dependability, confirmability, and credibility (Stenfors et al., 2020). As a researcher the information must be articulated with an argumentative reasoning in supporting my position approach, theory, and idea. This allows me as the researcher to justify a specific epistemological position and methodology in designing my study to other potential paths(Baker, 2020). This will allow the researcher a justification on a specific position and rationale for the research that is being provided in the argument. Examples and peered-reviews research utilizing literacy articles and evidence of data in supporting the evidence that may lead to dispel a reasonable doubt to the research for the argument (Pat D’Urso et,al 2021). The argument must provide a rational and valid inferences in providing acceptable language while the statements must be consistent and true. The documentation must be connected in the overall presentation.

Writing a dissertation is known to be the most hardest task faced by every student. It is always the final project given to Masters or Ph.D course. And a prerequisite before obtaining a degree. Having a high scoring paper is essential towards the success of the student. You must plan everything according to the time you have and stages must be placed accordingly.
You must formulate a research problem that is unknown to the field and if solved, will yield new knowledge, you need to devise a research methodology and plan it to investigate the problem, you must carry out the research in an efficient and effective manner, gathering data that are reliable and relevant to the problem, analyze your data in a manner that will answer the research problem, draw conclusions that actually lead to an answer to the research problem, communicate the results of the research effectively and communicate the importance of the results of the research to the broader field of inquiry (McGregor, 2018).

Topic 4 DQ 2
You have examined 10 recent quantitative dissertations from your field and devised systematic approach for identifying quality argumentation in the articles and recording potentially useful information from them. Now, you have one more week available to expand your sources of information and are considering reading some additional articles recently published in the top peer reviewed journal in your field. Will you be able to use your “systematic approach” for evaluating for these journal articles as well, or do you need a different approach? How do you know? Explain the feasibility and benefits of your decision.

The approach of a researcher when it comes to systematic approach will deal with understanding what is systematic approach to research. One must know that selecting, searching, and managing available evidence research by defining and planning the research on a consistent way. This is also being supported by all data when it comes to all literature reviews. When citing researched information should use current researched papers so that a researcher’s argument will be strengthen for the topic they are working on (Badenhorst, 2018). This will enable the researcher to outline their objectives, goals, and purpose for their research. The information that a researcher must read pertaining to scholarly articles, a researcher must look for the gap in the knowledge to see if there is a direct relationship to their investigation and support that investigation with taking short notes from the field an interview being taken (Rewhorn, 2018).
The comprehending of systematic approach, there is five steps in supporting your approach and how it may benefit a researcher’s decision. One is to frame the question . The question can be a form in which a reviewer can pose it in an explicit way . The goal is to provide evidence to support your theories as a researcher in framing, predicting and exploring unknown variable to your research (Scott Greenberger, June Maul, Nancy Walker, and Cristie McClendon (2021). These relations can have various components to the question but can be focused on the question that is related to the research. Identifying relevant publications through various search engines that may support and provide valid references. Assessing study quality supports the inclusion criterion when there is a main source of evidence to those studies. Those considerations can show an amount for research when led to an inclusion from other studies and designs. The understanding of summarizing the evidence can deal with the variable design that may not show the quality of the study because of the study results may be summarize and investigated to show a restriction to the findings in the researched paper. The last is to focus on the study that may be interpreted with caution due to the low quality of studies pertaining to the findings. Many findings and studies may show a risk of Bias in a non-randomized study in which the evidence starts high but subsequently rated down according to the evidence (Scheunemann HJ, Cuello C, Akl EA, et al.2019).

During reading articles , I found my systematic approach well applicable most of time . At 1 or 2 , I need to apply a different approach espcially the articals invovled some law terminology which needs relatively greater law knowledge to understand . In first attempt i just make a simple reading of article to get a overview about it . Then in 2nd reading i get through the article in detail and makes the notes wherever feel neccesary that can adds up to my information . My this approach helps me to read the article effectively along with covering entire aspects of article and also helps to read article well in time.
Stick with the systematic approach is the better. Why because the systematic approach refers to an analysis method; a way to handle a complex system with a global point of view without focalizing on details. It aims for a better understanding of complexity without simplifying reality too much. The systemic approach is also used with sociotechnical systems. So comparatively systematic method is better than integrative, scoping, evidence maps, realist syntheses, rapid, umbrella reviews concept analyses. systematic is very flexible to add new information to study. Changing the design of the study Is not a good idea. It affects the whole design, results and conclusions moreover it is more time conception (Greenberger, 2021).
